to Dan's Reply to Us

 Well, I understand some people can believe such super-gorgeous megasites like DanRadcliffe.com and DanRadcliffe.co.uk which also got Dan's letters recently, but not a tiny site like mine, immediately. I've already got warm words of congratulations from so many people who kindly believed me (thank you!), but for some people who would like to know more facts related to Dan's reply, here are some.

Postmark: It was Watford, England. The date was July 18th.(Click the pics to enlarge)

The Way We Sent the Poster: I used Express Mail System, and the envelope contained our happy-birthday poster was posted on July 3rd and received at Leavesden Studios on 7th (I checked the tracking service of Japanese Postal Service and Royal Mail websites everyday, because many of us were anxcious to know (Me too, obviously ;D)
Personal Info: I don't reveal my real name and address on this website for safety reasons, but they were on the letter.
How Dan Handles Fan Letters: I've read some interviews of Dan on magazines that said he has staff members who supports him with snail mail from fans, because he gets so many. So I guess they opened our letter, typed up the reply for him and then Dan just signed.

Finally, would I lie using Dan's name? As a fan, I would NEVER. Out of question. :-)

A note to fans who'd like to contact him: Don't know Dan's fan mail address (of Leavesden Studio, UK)? OK here it is:

Mr. Daniel Radcliffe
c/o Leavesden Studios
P.O. Box 3000 Leavesden, Heartfordshire
WD2 7LT United Kingdom

I wish you the best of luck, but obviously we can NEVER blame him when he can't write back to us, since he needs time for studying and playing with his school friends etc. I believe we got a reply because what we sent was a group thing, NOT a personal fan letter or a card - remember I had 61 other Dan fans to write to him with. Thanks again to all the participants, you guys did a great job. lf you've missed it, you can always join us in other opportunities.

<Aug 16 update>
Never heard of Dan writing paper letters to fans? I know Japanese cases only, but if you think Dan isn't polite enough to send replies to any fans, you're wrong. Although not everyone gets a printed message with a handwritten signature, Pota, a news-posting staff of The Burrow (one of the most well-known Harry Potter fansites in Japanese. It's famous for the fastest and accurate daily news updates) received a reply for her snail fan mail and b-day presents (a pair of Edo Kiriko or colored traditional Japanese wine glasses) on Aug 14. The text of 2 letters (the one she and I got) are virtually the same, except that he thanked her for her 'beautiful glasses', although he will 'only be putting Diet Coke for the time being!!' You can see a photo of the letter she received in our gallery (Autographs section).
A HUGE thanks to Pota for allowing me to post this!!

Picture updates: I added 2 pics of the envelope I received as well as the whole image of the letter in the Gallery. At first I was worried about anybody faking it and it got late, but maybe better than never :-).
